Ewuradwoa K. Ampiah, PMHNP-BC, is the Founder and Executive Director of Harvestfield Impact Foundation (HIF), a nonprofit humanitarian and community development organization focused on advancing sustainable initiatives that support vulnerable and underserved communities through healthcare, education, wellness, advocacy, and community empowerment.
Ampiah is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), behavioral health executive leader, and healthcare systems professional with over a decade of progressive experience spanning psychiatric care, behavioral health leadership, healthcare operations, nursing administration, psychotherapy, systems improvement, multidisciplinary leadership, and community-centered service.
Her professional background includes executive and operational leadership across inpatient psychiatric services, statewide behavioral health systems, correctional healthcare environments, community-based healthcare, nursing education, and psychiatric and mental health service delivery across diverse patient populations and care settings. She has held senior nursing and behavioral health leadership roles overseeing clinical operations, nursing service delivery, quality improvement initiatives, healthcare systems coordination, regulatory and compliance processes, policy and process development, staff education and mentorship, operational management, recruitment and retention initiatives, budgeting oversight, and implementation of statewide systems-focused healthcare improvements.
Ampiah previously served in statewide behavioral health nursing leadership overseeing nursing operations and behavioral healthcare service delivery across multiple facilities in Maryland, including youth detention and behavioral health settings. Her leadership experience includes standardization of clinical processes, implementation of operational improvement initiatives, development of educational and training resources, healthcare quality oversight, multidisciplinary collaboration, and advancement of patient-centered systems designed to improve healthcare outcomes and operational effectiveness.
Her clinical expertise includes psychiatric evaluation, psychotherapy, psychotropic medication management, trauma-informed care, telepsychiatry, behavioral health treatment planning, care coordination, and support of individuals with complex psychiatric, behavioral, and developmental needs.
In addition to her healthcare leadership experience, Ampiah has remained actively engaged in mentorship, leadership development, healthcare education, advocacy, and humanitarian service initiatives focused on improving health, dignity, emotional wellness, access to care, and long-term community wellbeing.
She founded Harvestfield Impact Foundation with a vision to strengthen communities through sustainable humanitarian and development initiatives focused on healthcare and mental health advocacy, education support, feeding and nutrition initiatives, clean water access, women and girls’ empowerment, and support for underserved children and families.
Her leadership philosophy is grounded in integrity, accountability, professionalism, compassion, ethical service, and sustainable community impact. She is committed to advancing systems, partnerships, and initiatives that promote equitable opportunity, community empowerment, responsible leadership, and meaningful long-term transformation.
Ampiah is currently pursuing doctoral studies focused on advanced leadership, healthcare systems improvement, organizational development, and evidence-based practice to further strengthen her impact in healthcare leadership and humanitarian service.
Her academic background includes graduate nursing leadership training from the University of Maryland, psychiatric mental health training, and undergraduate studies in Psychology and Computer Science from the University of Ghana, reflecting a multidisciplinary foundation that supports both healthcare leadership and systems-oriented problem solving.
Under her leadership, Harvestfield Impact Foundation seeks to build meaningful local and international partnerships that advance humanitarian outreach, healthcare and mental health initiatives, education access, community wellness, and sustainable development programs.
